Best online business models in 2021 and 2022

There are two main ways to make money online. The first is the Influencer model and the second is the Lead Gathering model. In this article, you will learn how they work, what the process is for each, and how you can use them to start making money online.

The key difference between them is that one is slow but free, while the other costs a lot more money but is much quicker to implement.

Influence model

The Influencer model is slow but free. It is the model that most people start with online and there are many successful examples.

Your main goal with this model is to generate lots of traffic.

How do you do this? Create and publish lots of content.

Be consistent and productive in creating content. You can publish your content on a blog, social media or YouTube.

Building an audience takes time and effort, but if you do both, you’ll have a solid foundation to start making money online.

In the influencer model, you can earn income by placing ads alongside content, using affiliate links, and selling premium content or products.

Lead generation model

Leads are people who have indicated that they want what you offer. They have already expressed an interest in something you are selling, so you try to reach them and try to convert leads into customers.

The most important thing is to be able to connect with potential customers. The easiest way to do this electronically is to use their email address. You can sign people up for a newsletter and contact them.

If you have a social media presence, the people who follow your account are your potential customers.

You can also get interested people through online content, but that’s the influencer model. With the lead capture model, however, you buy the leads. This means you get them much faster.

You can profit from it by making sure you buy leads for less than you earn on each lead. This is a fast but accurate approach.

Which one works best for you?

You should think about your goals and approach before choosing the right model. Do you want to gain traffic by being a consistent content creator? In that case, you should probably choose the influencer model.

If you want to create a system that earns more from each lead than it costs to acquire it, consider the lead acquisition model.

Which model is best for affiliate marketing?

Both can work with affiliate marketing. A blogger or social media influencer can recommend articles to their readers and earn a commission. Affiliate marketers can also buy leads and convert them into customers.

Each of these has positive and negative aspects. If you know them all, it will be easier for you to figure out which one is best for you.

And I’ll explain the six different internet marketing models, which by definition are pretty generic.

1. Affiliate marketing

The first model is the most basic, but necessary for all beginners. This is where you promote someone else’s products and services, whether digital or physical and receive a fee in return. There are many ways to do this, but that’s another topic I’ll deal with today.

2. E-commerce

The second model is e-commerce.

Although at first glance this may seem similar to promoting physical products as an affiliate, this is not the case.

It essentially means that instead of running a physical store, which can cost tens of thousands of dollars in rent, staff and inventory, you can run a virtual store in the form of an e-commerce website.

Unlike the traditional model, you don’t have to have a huge inventory.

All you need is good relationships with reliable suppliers who are willing to deliver products to your customers, ensuring that they are in good condition and exactly what your customers need when they place their orders.

The only downside is that setting up an e-commerce store is a challenge. Especially for beginners who know nothing about web design.

Even if you hire a freelancer, the perceived value will cost you hundreds or even thousands of dollars, as in the long run your store can earn much more than the initial investment, although you may not make that money immediately.

3. Local business advice

If you already know how to create websites and get them to the top of Google, you can become a local business consultant for offline entrepreneurs, whether they have a shop, café or store.

If you can attract customers with other online strategies, that’s even better.

I don’t recommend it for beginners, however, because most business owners are very selective about who they hire, just like with job interviews.

4. Freelance

You can work as a freelancer for internet marketers if you are good at building websites, writing content such as articles, blog posts, e-books and short reports, and designing banners, e-covers and graphics.

But don’t expect a high salary unless you’re an experienced programmer and software developer.

You can offer your services on sites such as Elance, Fiverr and Guru.

5. Mobile apps

This is another profession you might consider if you want to learn and earn by designing mobile apps for people.

Since the iPhone is very popular these days and people prefer to browse the web through it rather than laptops and desktops, this is another model to consider.

6. Creating and selling protected information products

This topic was briefly discussed in my article on the two sides of the affiliate marketing coin.

This means writing e-books and creating your own instructional videos in which you use your knowledge and experience to teach people how to do certain things.

It can be other topics, such as wise business investing, wise money management, personal development and health-related topics.

Or even a hobby based on your personal passion and the passion of others.
